My Christmas Card for 2007

Every year I make my own Christmas card. Last year was my Sliver Bells reindeer pony that I posted on here. And this year I wanted something different. The only thing I could picture was a snowy owl in flight, I don't know why but that was something I wanted on my Christmas card.

Now, that may seem like an easy idea to most, but I have ALWAYS had a huge problem with drawing owls. They're heads looked misplaced, their feet looked distorted, there was always something wrong. Until I did this sketch which worked out rather well for this piece.

The digi painting I was planning on taking a few weeks to do, and I may go back and retouch this since there's still a few things wrong with this that I don't like... But I got into a zone with painting and I just had to stay up to finish it.

Now it's 6:05 in the morning and I am going to bed. Enjoy.
